Witch's hat
Even if you consider yourself to be the most romantic and delicate lady in the universe, sometimes it is very nice to have some sort of variety. It is quite boring to always release similar looks - not only do you get predictable, but also you yourself lose this passion for dressing up. Hence, it makes sense to throw in some unique outfits from time to time - just to keep your own fashion taste moving. One of the superior ways to make a temporary change in your image is to go for a gothic style. You do not have to pierce your lips and dye your hair navy blue - there are other (more conventional and easy) ways to create such a look. If you are interested in how exactly you can come up with a gothic ensemble, scroll down to see the detailed examples.
5 Striking Outfits Styled in Gothics
A black hat is one of the best accessories to create a gothic impression. There is hardly any other headpiece that would be able to deliver the very same message in such a precise way. Looking at this hat the first association that comes to my mind is a witch. This for sure is related to the dark and gloomy mood of gothics. Besides, the rest of the outfit is quite along the tune as well: baggy dress in black, matching chunky booties, saucy glasses, a multicolored patterned jacket in brown, beige and gold and two clutch-shaped necklaces in camouflage print. There is also a regular sized handbag in brown which adds up to the overall impression.
Leather and maxi dress
A purely gothic look is created with the help of very plain and casual pieces of clothing. A leather jacket with a diagonal zipper is paired up with a maxi dress which features an asymmetric hem. Black tights are combined with the matching sandals - this is one of those rare cases when this combination is allowed. An elegant black handbag perfectly fits into the look and makes one fall for it immediately. Such an outfit is not a perfect one for a hot summer day, but it can easily work out when it is not so sunny and warm outside.
Chiffon, sheer trend and leather pants
A very comfortable look can be achieved with the help of sheer black chiffon shirt which is rocked over a plain tank top as well as slim fit black pants. There is nothing outstanding about this ensemble, yet the total blackness of the outfit makes it quite stylish. The lady on the image added a pair of black leather boots - however, I would go for a different footwear piece, as this one seems to be too heavy for this look. A bunch of jewelry pieces in silver along with a black handbag complete the look.
Chain necklace and Mickey Mouse
A gothic outfit does not have to be all gloomy and radical - as long as it features certain elements, you are pretty much fine. Black leather jacket with quilted sleeves matches the flare mini skirt in an excellent way. The lovely sweatshirt with a Mickey Mouse print brings in a fun touch, turning this look into a saucy combination of styles. Lacquered leather boots as well as chunky necklace in silver and a handful of other accessories make this outfit the most glamorous of all the gothic ones.
Hippie and Gothic
Last but not least is the outfit which was presented by Vanessa Hudgens. The actress sported a maxi black dress with a lace bodice and a sheer skirt features intricate embroidery. To add a hippie hue, the stunner added a green coat with fringed sleeves - the combo looks quite unique. A petite choker in black along with chunky black boots and round glasses complete the look and make it quite desirable and appealing.
These were the five ways one could create a gothic look. While some of them were purely gothic, the other ones did not feature such an explicit zest. This demonstrates the huge variety of interpretations, when it comes to fashion. There are no set rules to follow when you want to come up with a stylish outfit. As long as it corresponds with general prescriptions and you feel comfortable in it, it will work out in a perfect way.
